Full-time position available with the Aviation Department, Airport Operations Division, located at 1 Kansas City Blvd.
Salary Range: $7,268/month
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00a.m.-5:00p.m.

Responsibilities
The Aviation Department is seeking a candidate with a high level of customer service, an understanding of airport operations management, and excellent communication skills. The position will be required to inspect the entire terminal several times throughout the week.to include conducting spot inspections of unassigned space. This candidate will be present within the airport culture and will provide information to the appropriate Aviation Department Division Management in the instances of conflict or potential safety, security, business, or operational issues.
Duties and Responsibilities: - Conducts terminal and land-side quality assurance audits and have oversight responsibilities related directly to the internal development of quality processes and procedures.
- Acts as a liaison between all divisions with the department to ensure quality standards are met.
- Ensures airlines and tenants follow rules and policies, to include but not limited to, ensure that the tenant is not utilizing space beyond the limits of their leased space.
- Builds business relations with concessions, tenants, customers, and key airport stake holders to cultivate a positive, customer centered culture at MCI.
- Performs terminal inspections, in partnership with Custodial leadership and Airport Operations to evaluate Terminal cleanliness and issue work requests when deficiencies are
noted. - Proactively seeks opportunities for setting and/or implementing industry best practices and standards for airport terminal operations.
- Acts as the Liaison between the Kansas City Aviation Department and other applicable City Departments and airport tenants.
- Conducts analysis of airline and tenant activities to ensure that the maximum revenue collection is occurring.
- Performs review of self-reported items from airlines and stakeholders to ensure accuracy.
- Performs audit of utilization of common-use equipment and RON parking to ensure appropriate invoicing.
- Monitors terminal and landside operations and make sure that the airlines and other tenants are complying with their use and lease agreements.
- Works as a liaison between the other Aviation divisions and the airlines and tenants in addressing any safety, security or operational issues that are identified during terminal walks.
- Monitors the overall cleanliness of the facility, including concession eating areas.
- Issues any work orders through ACC to address required issues.
- Provides feedback to division managers of recurring issues that are not being addressed in a timely manner.
- Monitors operations at airline ticket counters and at the security checkpoint.
- Monitors the use of the City common use gates and ticket counters and other city facilities.
- Provides feedback on measures on how to improve customer service and operations in the
facility.
Qualifications
REQUIRES an accredited Bachlelor's degree and 5 years managing a division or significant business function within the aviation department or industry. Must successfully complete a TSA criminal history check and a pre-employment drug screen.

For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.
If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
