    Job Description

    Performs skilled, journey level work in the installation, preventive maintenance, and repair of air conditioning equipment at various Orlando Venuesfacilities. These include high-profile and dynamic environments such as the KIA Center, Camping World Stadium, Harry P. Leu Gardens, and the Mennello Museum of American Art. Conducts regular inspections of air conditioning units, makes operating adjustments, lubricates units, and changes filters. Work requires the inspection of malfunctioning units, testing of equipment, diagnosis of problems, repair or replacement of parts, and replacement of refrigerant. Employee works under general supervision, usually alone, and exercises reasonable initiative and independent judgment in scheduling work and in determining action to be taken. Work is reviewed through inspection of work completed, reports from users of equipment, study of work reports, and analysis of operating and maintenance costs.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Associate's Degree and two (2) years’ experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating and air conditioning systems; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License required.

    THIS IS A PART_TIME_POSITION WITH NO GUARANTEE OF A CERTAIN NUMBER OF HOURS AND NO BENEFITS. THIS POSITION INVOLVES WORKING ON A TEMP/SEASONAL CONTRACT WHICH CAN BE RENEWED ANNUALLY BASED ON PERFORMANCE AND BUSINESS NEEED.

    If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
    • Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
    • Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
    • Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
    • Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
