Department of Public Health (DPH), California Children's Services (CCS) is recruiting for a
Supervising Pediatric Rehabilitation Therapist II to oversee the operations of the Medical Therapy Program (MTP), providing leadership for the physical and occupational therapy services delivered through CCS for children with complex medical needs. This position will supervise the day-to-day work of a team of Physical and/or Occupational Therapists managing administrative duties and a team of CCS Supervisors for each of the Medical Therapy Units (MTUs) . Duties include chart utilization reviews, quality assurance, and policy and procedure development; establishing and maintaining tracking systems to meet state guidelines; supervising, hiring, and evaluating staff work performance and staff productivity; conducting staff conferences; advising therapists on treatment options. Further this position requires active association and collaboration with CCS management and staff; DHCS Personnel; school personnel; physicians and other medical providers; engaging in the provision of team-centered care; and planning and implementing therapy programs for children with neurological and/or orthopedic impairments.

Minimum RequirementsApplicants
must meet

Licensure:
- Option 1: Applicant must possess and maintain a valid license as a Physical Therapist issued by the Physical Therapy Board of California, - or-
- Option 2: Applicant must possess and maintain a valid license as an Occupational Therapist issued by the California Board of Occupational Therapy.
- AND - Experience:
- Option A: Applicant must possess two (2) years of full-time equivalent experience as a licensed Physical Therapist or a licensed Occupational Therapist in a California Children's Services program; qualifying experience must also include one (1) year of lead or full-scope supervisory experience ( i.e., hiring, firing, counseling, disciplinary actions, assigning work, completing work performance evaluations, developing work schedules and approving time off ), -or-
- Option B: Applicant must possess three (3) years of full-time equivalent experience as a licensed Physical Therapist or licensed Occupational Therapist in a rehabilitation setting; qualifying experience must also include one (1) year of lead or full-scope supervisory experience ( i.e., hiring, firing, counseling, disciplinary actions, assigning work, completing work performance evaluations, developing work schedules and approving time off ).

CCS program and/or
pediatric rehabilitation setting.
