This position has responsibilities that require lifting up to 20-50 pounds on occasion.
Lake Parks Duties: - Volunteer Coordinator - maintains volunteer agreement files including signed agreements and background checks for HR, monthly volunteer schedules, monthly volunteer meetings
- Monitors and maintains inventory of Camp Store with weekly purchases, coordinating with food/beverage/ice/firewood delivered to store, updating and maintaining rental agreements for canoes/kayaks/yard games/golf carts
- Creates and publishes monthly newsletter for volunteers and patrons of Loyd Park showing events and news about the park
- Assist with annual fall Forest of Fear event by scheduling event, award purchases, assisting with flyers/marketing piece
- Maintains Lake Parks Mobile App by modifying, updating information in Loyd Park mobile app
- Shared Duties with Executive Assistant include but are not limited to: Daily deposits, Cabin/Lodge/Loyd House/Pavilion Rental Agreements, Assisting customers with online account set up if needed
Special Events Essential Duties: - Coordinates set-up, operation, and tear down of events and helps to facilitate in all operational aspects during the duration of events.
- Assists in supervision of special events by maintaining a safe environment for the public.
- Performs office duties by maintaining report program worksheets daily; developing flyers, profit, and loss reports; scheduling hours for volunteers and part time workers; inputting data into the computer.
- Assists the Special Event Manager in interacting with employees and the public, answering inquiries, addressing complaints and grievances, responding to emergency issues and assisting patrons.
- Provides customer service to internal and external customers by responding to requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Promotes public relations by speaking to schools, groups, organizations, parents, members and participants about programs and the needs of the community.
- Maintains reports of incident and accidents that may occur.
- Monitors events and maintains inventory of equipment and supplies for the special event division.
- All other duties as assigned by a supervisor/manager within your department/division.
- Regular and consistent attendance and punctuality for the assigned work hours is essential.
Recreation Center Essential Duties: - Coordinates recreation center lessons and other classes by scheduling classes and instructors; advertising classes; supervising classes; and teaching classes.
- Assists in supervision of the facility by maintaining a safe environment for the public; supervising part-time and seasonal instructors in programs, leagues, or classes and communicating with youth participants' parents.
- Performs office duties by maintaining report program worksheets daily; developing flyers, profit, and loss reports; scheduling work hours for part-time employees; assisting in overseeing programs and reservation scheduling; inputting data into the computer.
- Assists the center supervisors in interacting with employees and the public, answering inquiries, addressing complaints and grievances, responding to emergency issues and assisting patrons.
- Provides customer service to internal and external customers by responding to requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Promotes public relations by speaking to schools, groups, organizations, parents, members and participants about programs and the needs of the community.
- Performs first aid, CPR or advanced lifesaving techniques as needed and maintains reports of incident and accidents that may occur.
- Monitors and inspects the facility; maintains inventory of equipment and supplies for the recreation center.
- All other duties as assigned by a supervisor/manager within your department/division.
- Regular and consistent attendance and punctuality for the assigned work hours is essential.
Minimum Qualifications JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination equivalent to experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may qualify. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Experience: 1 year of related experience.
- Licenses: Valid Driver's License required.
