    Description:

    The Fraud Investigation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all fraud investigations involving SNAP, Medicaid, Colorado Works, Child Care, Adult Financial and Career and Family Services. Oversees all aspects of planning, directing and evaluating the program, establishing goals, objectives and outcome measures and supervision of the Fraud Investigation Unit. This person must have a wide knowledge base of rules and regulations governing eligibility programs.

    SCHEDULE:

    This position operates on our four-day work week (Monday-Thursday) working in a hybrid capacity, with remote work and in-office work as needed. Requires the ability to maintain a regular and predictable work schedule, and support after-hours projects on an as needed basis.

    COMPENSATION:

    Target Hiring Range: $78,000.00 - $82,000.00 USD Annual
    Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and skills.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
    • Develop relationships with state, county partners, District Attorney and County Attorney. Serve as a member, consultant or leader in state and Federal fraud investigation meetings. Collaborate and assist in facilitating fraud trainings for the Community Assistance Division. Monitor compliance with policies, regulations, guidelines and laws. Correct compliance issues, maintain and analyze statistics for goal attainment and workflow efficiency.
    • Reviews and approves all cases referred to the District Attorney’s Office for possible criminal prosecution. Reviews and approves all program overpayments and Intentional Program Violations.
    • Supervises staff in area of responsibility. Administers and makes recommendations for routine personnel matters affecting subordinates, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, assigning, scheduling, granting leave, appraisals, and taking corrective action. Conducts performance evaluations and communicates short- and long-term goals and objectives. Submits personnel records and reports as required by the county. Assists and advises subordinates as necessary, resolves problems as non-routine situations arise, and ensures adherence to established policies, procedures and standards. Communicates changes in policy and procedures to direct reports and implements them as directed.
    • Assist investigators with internal investigations as needed.
    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • 3 years of work-related experience.
    • 3 years of supervision experience.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Criminal Science, or a related field.
    • Note an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.

    • Criminal History and MVR Background Checks are required for every position.
    • Offer of employment contingent upon successful completion of criminal history, motor vehicle report, education verification, and/or references. Criminalhistory mustnotinclude butnotlimitedto convictions fortheft, forgery, counterfeiting, crimes against a person, or other related charges.
    • Fraud screenings are department specifics requests in Human Services.
    • CJIS certification will be required post hire.
