Larimer County Community Justice Alternatives (CJA) is seeking an Accounting Technician II to provide vital financial and payroll support for both the Community Corrections and Alternative Sentencing departments.
With over 250 employees, CJA is dedicated to helping individuals in the criminal justice system make positive change through innovative programs, and this role helps make that work possible behind the scenes.
In this role, you’ll handle a variety of financial functions, including client deposits, petty cash, billing, payroll, and recordkeeping, all with the support of a collaborative team and hands-on training.
Additional Information
- Standard schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; weekends and holidays off
- Based in Fort Collins, with occasional travel to the Loveland office
- This role includes working inside residential facilities and may involve client interaction
ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll be doing:
- Processing cash deposits for client fees and income
- Managing client finances in our custom Larimer Offender Information System, including deposits, distributions, savings, cash requests, reconciliations, and audits
- Serving as payroll representative: onboarding/offboarding, processing timesheets, adjustments, and reporting
- Performing billing tasks related to state and federal contracts
- Handling and maintaining confidential payroll and personnel records

- One (1) year of experience as a Larimer County Accounting Technician I, comparable experience in a directly related field, or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities required.
