The Role:The Guest Information Agent represents the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority by providing exceptional customer service. This position will be responsible for providing information about the Las Vegas Convention Center and the surrounding areas to guests.
What You’ll Do: Keep in mind that this list is not all-inclusive.
- Provide front-line customer service to convention and meeting guests.
- Greet all guests as they enter and leave the convention or meeting space.
- Assist with wayfinding questions and communicating information about the facility, the Las Vegas Valley, and surrounding areas.
- Respond to guest concerns respectfully and calmly; communicate issues to the on-site supervisor or Guest Experience Supervisor/Manager as appropriate.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and provide guests with appropriate safety messaging and evacuation methods when necessary.
- Check assigned lobby restrooms every hour for cleanliness.
- Check lobbies for visible debris on floors and hallways and report issues to Facility Services department
- Escort guests to their desired location and return to original assigned area when complete.
- If requested, assist LVCVA with special/sponsored events. Said events could be off property as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by an on-site supervisor/manager.
What We’re Looking For - High school graduate or GED preferred
- Prior in-person solid customer service experience required; prior experience working events is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively in English; ability to speak a second language is highly desirable
- Familiar with the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) and the Las Vegas Valley and surrounding area is a plus; must be able to become familiar with the LVCC and Las Vegas Valley within 90 days of employment
- Must be able to:
- Stand for a prolonged period of time
- Have the mobility to escort guests through the convention center
- Must be flexible and willing to work non-traditional hours (nights, weekends, and holidays)
- Ability to demonstrate a commitment to valuing differences among individuals and a passion for being inclusive
- Must be a resident of Clark County for at least one year
