The Office of Workforce and Community Initiatives (OWCI) is seeking candidates to fill a Program Specialist in the MAGI/AHS Unit. This position will be located in St Louis County/Maryland Heights Office based at 13500 Riverport Drive Suite 300, Maryland Heights, MO .
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Liaison between contractor and MAGI Contract Unit .
• DSS point of contact for Contractor staff .
• Modifying and streamlining MAGI processes by reviewing current policy, updating policy, addressing error trends, submitting required reports .
• Research other state best practices and determine methods to integrate within Missouri’s system .
• Coordinate with FSD on any changes that impact staff for MAGI processing with policy and legislative changes .
• Review any impending federal or state legislation and prepare the impacts to processes, eligibility, and systems for both citizens and the Department for review by leadership .
• Make recommendations for programmatic updates allowable within the federal and state laws based on changes by other states, legislative changes, ect .
• Create process improvements for new federal policy and guidance .
• Complete system testing with new policy .
• Review data reports to interpret trends .
• Coordinate with training staff to update current trainings or help develop new trainings as the subject matter expert.
• Other duties as assigned .
Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
Preferred Qualifications: - MEDES and FAMIS system knowledge.
- Exercise independence in problem solving.
- Skills in oral/written communication.
