Job Description
Summary of position
Under direction and supervision of the City Maintenance Manager, this position performs maintenance of multi-modal facilities including the Posse Grounds Bike Skills Park, and other facilities within the Sedona Trails & Pathways System (ST&PS); and to operate and maintain a variety of maintenance equipment. This position is anticipated to be scheduled for less than 20 hours per week on average.
Minimum qualifications
Experience
- 3 years minimum experience in trail building and path maintenance, and 5 years of experience on heavy equipment such as backhoe, excavator, skid steer, dozer, or loader.
Training
- high school diploma or GED is required
Licenses and Certifications
- Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a State of Arizona driver’s license, within two months of hire.
- Satisfactory driving record.
- Possession of, or the ability to obtain, any combination of or single certification of the following: Trail Building Professional Certification, Trail Technician Program, Trail Master Certification, and Trail Skills Training, within six months of hire.
- Arizona State Retirement benefits may be activated if the employee is hired to work more than twenty hours per week.
- For every thirty hours worked, one hour of AZ Sick time is allotted.
