As an Information Systems Specialist II in DoIT’s Customer Care team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality technical support to County departments and staff. The eligible list established from this recruitment may remain in effect for six (6) months.Minimum QualificationsLicense Required: All candidates must possess a valid California Motor Vehicle Operator’s license. Out of state valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s License will be accepted during the application process.
Education: Possession of a high school diploma, GED proficiency or high school equivalency certificate and at least twelve semester or eighteen quarter units in computer science, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Six months of full-time or its equivalent experience performing information systems support and/or software installations.
Substitution: Six months of additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required course work in computer science.
Desirable Qualifications:- Experience in a technical support or IT helpdesk environment
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and common enterprise applications
- Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) principles and the use of ticketing systems
- Experience working in a public sector or large enterprise environment
- Experience supporting remote users and configuring VPN, RDP, or other remote access technologies
