This position is in the Drinking Water Section of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Southwest Regional Office at 2040 W. Woodland St., Springfield, MO 65807.

• Coordinate and lead bacteriological sample investigations; make determinations for assessment events and compliance with the Revised Total Coliform Rule and Ground Water Rule.
• Conduct field assessments of public water systems to determine a potential cause of bacteriological positive samples.
• Review and evaluate bacteriological sample results from public water systems.
• Assist public water systems to ensure compliance with Missouri Safe Drinking Water Law.
• Prepare detailed communications including reports and other documents.
• Conduct inspections and concern investigations, as needed.
• Collaborate with Drinking Water Section team members to ensure Section goals are met.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

• A valid Missouri State Driver’s License

Equivalent to those typically gained by:

• A bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, natural resources, physical sciences, or a closely related field, and 0 - 4 or more years of relevant experience.
