    Job/Department Summary:

    Working independently under general direction, the Campus Sustainability Program Administrator supports the sustainability goals of the University. They will be responsible for planning, implementing, and communicating the sustainability goals of the university, and supports the entire campus in all areas concerning AASHE STARS, Climate Action and Resilience Plan and improving sustainability education, research and outreach. The Program Administrator initiates, executes, implements, and evaluates day-to-day operations of the Office of Sustainability, as well as provides administrative support to the Director, Campus Sustainability Committee and subcommittees, and oversees student employees and interns working on various projects.

    Required Education and Experience:

    The knowledge, skills and abilities listed above would normally be obtained through a bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent training

    AND

    Two years of full-time administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices or programs.

    Preferences:

    Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills:
    • Methodologies, practices and procedures associated with sustainability in higher education.
    • The general concepts of sustainability, awareness of the central issues and controversies in the discourse on sustainable development.
    • Environmental and Economic analysis, including the ability to perform cost benefit analysis.

    Time Base: Full-time

    Pay Plan: 12/12

    Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Summer: Mon-Thurs 7:00am-5:30pm

    CSU Classification Salary Range: $55,176 - $99,816 per year.
