Primary duties include assisting park patrons with booking a swan boat and enforcing established procedures for validations, access control, and safety. Performs customer service and cleaning of boats. Utilizes communications and problem-solving skills to effectively handle customers service issues, and establish rapport with staff members and the public. Other duties include maintenance of work area (litter removal and general housekeeping of immediate work area), greeting guests and providing them directions to areas of interest, and monitoring and maintaining inventory. Involves performing duties under adverse conditions such as exposure to water, work in a confined area, exposure to all weather conditions and insects, and standing/walking for extended periods of time.
WORK SCHEDULE: Schedule includes work nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be flexible to work various schedules and unscheduled shifts when requested. Typically, hours vary between 20 and 30 per week, depending on event schedule and division needs. However, there is no weekly guarantee.
Minimum Requirements :
High school graduate or equivalent, and customer service experience
required, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers, officials, and the public. Valid Florida Driver's License is
required.
Must pass polygraph examination.
VALID DRIVER LICENSE FROM ANY STATE MUST BE PRESENTED AT TIME OF INTERVIEW. VALID FLORIDA DRIVER LICENSE MUST BE PRESENTED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE.
THIS IS A PART_TIME_POSITION WITH NO GUARANTEE OF A CERTAIN NUMBER OF HOURS AND NO BENEFITS. THIS POSITION INVOLVES WORKING ON A TEMP/SEASONAL CONTRACT WHICH CAN BE RENEWED ANNUALLY BASED ON PERFORMANCE AND BUSINESS NEEED. If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
- Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
