    Job Location: This position will be located at 205 Jefferson St., Jefferson City, MO 65101.

    Why you’ll love this position:

    The Food and Nutrition Services Section administers the USDA Food Distribution Program and the following USDA Child Nutrition Programs: National School Lunch Program (NSLP), School Breakfast Program, Special Milk Program, and the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program. Under the NSLP, the After School Snack Program and Seamless Summer Option are also available. The programs are operated in public, non-public, and residential child care institutions. The goal of the Food and Nutrition Services Section is to providing safe food and technical assistance to ensure well balanced nutritious meals are served to the students of Missouri.

    • Create and review section correspondence/documents to ensure accuracy and recommend changes where needed.
    • Route documents to appropriate person or sections for processing, review, and signature.
    • Coordinate and plan all administrative and business support functions of the section.
    • Triage phone calls, emails, FNS web reply, and visitors, providing consultation and guidance on policies, rules, procedures, and state federal regulations while directing to management as needed.
    • Coordinate the preparation and distribution for all communication, claim reminders, and monthly newsletters to local education agencies (LEAs).
    • Prepare and route all travel requests and in/out of office schedules for the Food and Nutrition Services unit.
    • Review and analyze monthly reports to compile statistical data analysis and post on the web.
    • Coordinate and plan the orientation and interviews for new Food and Nutrition Services employees.
    • Track and maintain new LEA permanent application agreements and policy statements.
    • Manage the tracking and compiling SB583 (MO HealthNet Forms).
    • Coordinate the review of program handbooks and manuals making the needed changes as processes or regulations change.
    • Create updates to the unit’s website and perform web maintenance regularly.
    • Manage the setup and archiving of all files, documents and materials for Food and Nutrition Services.
    • Coordinate create, analyze, and maintain survey monkey requests and results.
    • Assist Finance Manager with coding and processing employee expense reimbursement reports.
    • Manage filing and processing Department Purchase Requests (DPRs).
    • Track, maintain and direct program invoices from vendors to Finance Manager.
    • Annually coordinate, collect, review, and approve LEA Free and Reduced-Price Policy Statements and Amendments.
    • Annually notify and disseminate written approval letters for LEA’s Free and Reduced-Price Policy Statements.
    • Coordinate with School Nutrition Program Manager to plan and host annual workshops for LEA Food Service Professionals.
    • Conduct LEA Verification report approvals.
    • Perform other related work as assigned.
    • Demonstrate regular, reliable, and engaged attendance.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Associate’s degree in business management, Finance, Accounting, Statistical/Data Analysis or closely related field.


    OR

    • Two or more years of progressive experience in business management, accounting, finance, statistical analysis, or closely related area with knowledge of Child Nutrition Programs.
