Job Location: - The office for this position is located at the Harry S. Truman State Office Building, 301 W High Street, Jefferson City, MO. 65101.
Why you’ll love this position:This is an entry-level position that will be responsible for installation, management, support and maintenance of physical and virtual Windows servers running on-prem and Cloud environments. Maintenance of all systems includes troubleshooting hardware and operating system issues, performing firmware and operating system updates and patches, and adjusting resources allocated to virtual machines when needed. Creating, configuring, and managing S3 Buckets in AWS. Communication with technical support and the customer is required when investigating issues with hardware and/or operating system issues.

This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD), supporting the State Data Center (SDC)

- Installation and configuration of Windows Server OS on physical and virtual servers.
- Installation and configuration of Windows OS in AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Installation of physical hardware, such as rack servers, on-site and in remote offices.
- Firmware management on different models and brands of hardware.
- Develop and Maintain IAC for deploying S3 Buckets and Virtual Machines for Cloud and On-Prem.
- Create and maintain Windows OS templates for On-Prem and Cloud.
- Create and maintain documentation for assigned areas.
- Ensure standardization, compliance and enforcement of policies and daily operating procedures.
- Experience with VMWare ESXi & vSphere and Windows Server operating systems.
- Experience with server hardware and firmware, including racking & stacking hardware.
- Basic Knowledge of AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Ability to adapt to varying situations and troubleshoot performance issues and connection issues.
- Basic scripting skills using powershell, vbscript, or similar.
- Successful background check results are required for employment in this position. This may include background checks involving a candidate’s name and/or fingerprints and other screenings as needed for the specific position.
