The County of San Diego seeks a dynamic, visionary, and collaborative leader to serve as its next Director of the Office of Emergency Services (OES). This executive position plays a pivotal role in safeguarding one of the largest and most diverse counties in the nation, leading a $12.3 million department with 43 dedicated staff committed to the safety, resilience, and preparedness of the region’s more than 3.3 million residents. Reporting directly to the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for Public Safety, the Director will oversee all aspects of emergency management, including planning, prevention, mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery, while serving as a trusted advisor to County leadership, elected officials, and community stakeholders.
