    Please note : The salary range listed in this job description is a base salary. Applicants eligible for years-of-service adjustments or shift differentials may exceed salary range listed above.

    This position will be located at 1659 East Elm Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101. Hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, and would be supervised by Kenda Sanders.

    • Create, review and analyze financial reports reflecting expenditures, revenues, project tracking, appropriation, budget allocations and provide information to management to assist in making data driven decisions.
    • Develop analyses of fiscal information for the division reflecting projected spending, forecasted revenue, as well as to identify trends of both; Analyses will identify the areas of concern or areas of success; suggest operational changes and track impacts of those implemented
    • Develop Reporting dashboards using Tableau and Esri to provide management with the data needed quickly and concisely.
    • Review and identify areas where training is needed for staff to better understand processes and become more efficient
    • Become familiar with data generated within the division and recommend best practices based on data driven reporting
    • Manage and update dashboards on Tableau Server.
    • Design, develop, and optimize dashboards in Tableau to improve data visibility.
    • Work with Cross Functional teams to translate business needs into actionable insights.
    • Create accuracy, consistency, and governance across datasets, improving forecasting and reporting processes.


    To be successful in this position, a candidate will need the following skills:

    • Database Management Systems : Knowledge of the uses of database management systems and software to control the organization, storage, retrieval, security, and integrity of data.
    • Reasoning : Identifies rules, principles, or relationships that explain facts, data, or other information; analyzes information and makes correct inferences or draws accurate conclusions.
    • Computer Skills : Uses computers, software applications, databases, and automated systems to accomplish work.


    Equivalent to those typically gained by:

    • Proficiency in Tableau Desktop/Server (Dashboard Creation), Tableau Prep (Workflow Creation), Esri or other reporting application experience.
    • Familiarity with ETL Processes
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Access/Excel
    • Six Sigma Certification
