- Enters information into, maintains, and updates complex databases or spread sheets and generates reports for multiple departments; Maintains files for multiple departments, including data for maintenance personnel, bridge inspections and traffic permits ; conducts moderately complex analysis of information by examining for trends, outliers, or inconsistencies with previously reported data.
- Greets office visitors and answers incoming telephone calls; evaluates requests and routes inquiries to the appropriate department personnel. Sorts and distributes incoming correspondence, including faxes and mail deliveries.
- Serves as district point of contact for general traffic permit questions; explains process to customers. Maintains traffic permit database, including data entry for extensions and releasing permits. Distributes monthly expired permit reports.
- Updates bridge maps, files, and computer records, including inventory and inspection data for state and locally owned bridges and culverts.
- Schedules meetings; Attends meetings to transcribe meeting minutes. Makes travel arrangements for various departments, including maintenance, bridge, and traffic department.
- Purchases supplies, including personal protective equipment (PPE) for various departments, including district maintenance staff.
- Maintains winter event spreadsheet and database, supporting the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) during winter operations.
- Organizes and manipulates data using spread sheeting or database applications for the purpose of maintaining information or converting information from one form or format to another.
- Reviews forms, applications, financial statements, or other documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with department program guidelines or procedures.
Minimum Qualifications: - High School Diploma or GED/HiSET
Special Working Conditions: - Job requires occasional, statewide, overnight travel.
