The PositionNapa County is currently recruiting to fill one Probate Assistant (Working Title: Public Guardian/Administrator Probate Assistant) vacancy within the Comprehensive Serivces for Older Adults Division (CSOA) of Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA).
This class performs routine record keeping, maintenance of benefits, transportation, client support, and property-related functions associated with the maintenance of cases. This class is distinguished from the higher class of Supervising Deputy Public Administrator/Guardian/Conservator in that the latter supervises the day-to-day operations of the Public Administrator/Guardian/Conservator Division of the Health & Human Services Agency.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS Experience and Education : To qualify for this classification, an individual must possess any combination of experience and education that would likely produce the required knowledge and abilities. A desirable combination is:
Experience: Four years of experience in complex clerical or financial record keeping work, one year of which shall have been in the Public Guardian Office, or a legal office working with probate cases or social services program (Classification Specifications is under review).
Education: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
License or Certificate: Possession of a valid California Driver's License.
Any license, certification, or registration required for this position shall be maintained (i.e. active and in good standing) at all times during employment with Napa County. For continued employment with Napa County, you must maintain such license, certification, or registration to meet the minimum qualifications of this position.
