    The Department of Children and Family Services, Resource Family Support (RFS) Division is seeking a highly qualified individual for the Intermediate Typist-Clerk (ITC) position for the Resource Family Complaint Investigation section.

    This position is located at the Wateridge Office at 5110 W. Goldleaf Circle, Los Angeles, CA 90056.

    Essential Job Functions

    The individual selected for this position will be responsible for performing general and specialized office clerical functions. Duties include, but are not limited to:
    • Data entry;
    • Track confidential Resource Families information in various databases;
    • Maintain various monthly management reports and logs;
    • Completion of assignments and thorough follow up on inquiries and assignments including,status complaint investigations;
    • Provide support to the section and management by maintaining specialized email inboxes;
    • Sort, distribute, and provide timely responses to inquiries for specialized email inboxes;
    • Conduct searches on Binti and CWS/CMS-Resource Management;
    • Assign RFS cases to Complaint Investigation CSWs;
    • Send standardized letters and emails to resource parents;
    • Create and maintain physical RFS files for the division by mailing, receiving, and storing files;
    • Additional clerical specific duties as necessary based on operational need.


    Requirements

    Employees interested in applying for this transfer opportunity must currently hold the payroll title of Intermediate Typist-Clerk.

    DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS :
    • Excellent attendance and work ethic;
    • Ability to handle time-sensitive matters and assignments promptly in a professional manner;
    • Ability to prioritize assignments and meet the deadlines;
    • Strong organizational and time management skills;
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
    • Highly detailed in data entry and tracking;
    • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team;
    • Excellent attention to detail;
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, TEAMs and Outlook, Child Welfare Services Case Management System (CWS/CMS), Binti and/or the ability to learn and work in various programs;
    • Ability to physically move and transfer physical files.
