Full-time position available with the Housing and Community Development Department, KC Housing Federal Initiatives Division, located at 414 E 12th St.
Salary Range: $5,173/month
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., with the possibility of working outside these hours, including weekends.

Responsibilities
- Provides emergency repair services for senior citizens and residents with disabilities.
- Implements ADA accessibility improvements and Age-In-Place modifications to support housing stability.
- Supervise Community Development Corporation (CDC) projects and ensure quality and compliance.
- Conducts inspections for programs within the Housing Department, including NSPIRE inspections.
- Administers special initiatives such as the Paint Program, Senior's Fan Program, and other assigned projects.
- Coordinates with the Water Services Department and partner organizations to resolve delinquent water bills and expand access to repair services.
- Advances climate protection and resiliency initiatives to improve home efficiency, reduce utility costs, and protect residents from extreme weather.
- Align departmental efforts with citywide strategies, including the Housing and Healthy Communities Plan, Anti-Displacement Plan, Spirit KC Playbook, and Climate Protection and Resiliency Plan.
- Collaborates with City departments and external organizations to expand service capacity for vulnerable populations.
- Promotes strategies that retain and empower residents, reduce displacement, and strengthen community health outcomes.
- Supports extreme weather planning through programs like the Senior's Fan Pilot Program.
- Engages with residents, community organizations, and stakeholders to identify needs and deliver targeted services.
- Monitors program performance, track outcomes, and report progress to Housing Department leadership.
Qualifications
REQUIRES an
accredited Bachelor's degree and 5 (OR an accredited Master's degree in the mentioned fields and 3) years of related progressively responsible professional experience in housing and community development, neighborhood preservation or neighborhood services; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience.
Preference given to applicants who has experience with job bidding, collaborating with contractors, and customer service skills. Other Information
