Full-time position available with the Water Department, Stormwater Preventative Maintenance Division, located at 1800 Prospect.
Salary Starting at: $27.25/hr
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Thursday 6:30a.m.-5:00p.m.

Responsibilities
- Works directly with the Utility Superintendent of the division.
- Supervises field crews and works closely with crew leaders.
- Assigns and supervises the work of subordinates.
- Organizes and oversees the cleaning of storm inlets, storm mains, and outfalls.
- Performs special projects and processes letters, forms, and all necessary correspondence for reports, disciplinary action, documentation, records, and other various needs.
- Monitors the maintenance of all assigned equipment and vehicles.
- Maintains accurate levels of inventory.
- Works overtime during storms and as needed
Qualifications
REQUIRES high school graduation and 5 years in Water or Sewer Construction and maintenance work. Must possess a valid state-issued driver's license in accordance with the City of KCMO policies. Must possess a valid CDL issued by the state of MO prior to the end of the employees probationary period as determined by the department. May be required to possess at least one of the certifications listed below that is applicable to the employee's work area within 6 months of moving into this job classification: Distribution System Level II (DS-II) License with the State of Missouri; Wastewater Collections system level B certification with the State of Missouri; Backflow Certification; Meter Repair or Testing Certification; or National Green Infrastructure Certification Program (NGICP). If moving from a non-safety sensitive position, must pass a pre-placement drug screen and post-offer physical.
