    Position Description
    The Recurrent Staff Employee supports the Nursing Accelerated BSN program by developing, facilitating, and evaluating student clinical learning experiences. This position engages in simulation-based and inpatient clinical instruction, promoting student learning through effective communication, professional role modeling, and adherence to academic integrity and confidentiality standards. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Program Director to support program operations.

    Major/Essential Functions
    • Develop, assess, and evaluate student clinical learning activities.
    • Participate in simulation-based and in-patient clinical learning experiences with undergraduate Accelerated BSN students, as assigned.
    • Establish effective communication with students to facilitate learning.
    • Model professional behavior to enhance student role development and socialization.
    • Maintain confidentiality of student information.
    • Demonstrate academic integrity in interactions with students and faculty.
    • Various duties as assigned by the program director.


    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
    • Current unencumbered license as a registered nurse in the State of Texas
    • One year of experience as a registered nurse
