Why you’ll love this position:The Senior Regulatory Auditor is a second- level leadership position within DHSS' Division of Cannabis Regulation, which was established to implement access to and regulation of medical and non-medical cannabis in Missouri. Reporting directly to the Section Deputy Director, the Senior Regulatory Auditor will act as the Facility Application Services Unit Manager, ensuring requirements of the new law are fully realized through continued development and administration of the unit. This position will exercise adaptability, discernment and significant independence while also collaborating across the Section. The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the unit, including building out application processes, handling escalated inquiries, carrying out rule interpretation, document development, review and approval, policy analysis, personnel oversight, and project management. Emphasize fostering a positive and collaborative working environment in a way that ensures consistency throughout the section.
- Ongoing development, implementation, improvement and training of standard unit procedures.
- Cooperate with other agencies, including but not limited to: law enforcement entities and Administrative Hearing Commission in directing investigations and presenting cases.
- Analyzing data used to forecast for scheduling and workload management.
- Regularly coordinates and communicates within all levels of the organization.
- Cross-collaboration with other units within the section, and cross-divisionally as required.
- Review criminal history background records for agent and owners through final disposition.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively collaborate with the public and other partners.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in communications with a variety of stakeholders, both public and internal.
- Experience in program, policy and procedure creation, development and implementation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage changes, provide unit management and achieve results.
