    We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to fill the position of Administrative Technician with Capital Delivery. We're hiring an Administrative Technician in our Capital Delivery Division - the team that keeps our city's water and wastewater systems running smoothly.

    The Capital Delivery Division is at the heart of keeping Fort Worth's water and wastewater systems running smoothly. You will be part of a rewarding and fast-paced environment, and your work will directly contribute to the well-being of our community. Whether you're working on payroll, facilitating benefits enrollments, supporting recruitment efforts, assisting employees, or managing FMLA and Workers' Compensation claims, you'll be making a real difference every day.

    About the Role:

    As an essential part of our team, the Administrative Technician plays a vital role in the daily operations of the division. You'll provide critical administrative support, ensuring the smooth functioning of both routine tasks and special projects.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Associate's degree in Business, Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, Office Administration or a related field.
    • Two (2) years of clerical and administrative experience

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) Preferred
    • Previous administrative experience with a large municipality in areas such as FMLA, medical records, workers compensation, and ADA accommodations
    • Experience looking up data and/or making entries in PeopleSoft (ERP)
    • Intermediate to Advanced skills with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

    The Administrative Technician job responsibilities include:
    • Grow your HR skills by supporting payroll, benefits enrollment, recruitment, and special projects.
    • Make a real difference for employees by assisting with FMLA and Workers' Compensation claims, while serving as a trusted backup Medical Records Custodian.
    • Work closely with all levels of the organization, building strong relationships while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

    Benefits That Are Well Worth It

    Medical Program

    The City offers two plan options through Meritain Health, an Aetna company.

    The Health Center Plan – Offers employees and their family’s

    primary health care services that are 100% completely free and unlimited. Employees can visit any one of the three City of Fort Worth Employee Health Centers and receive guaranteed same or next day appointments for sick visits. Also, services are available at any one of the five satellite locations that serves employees across the city.

    The Consumer Choice Plan – Is offered to employees at no cost or low monthly premiums to cover eligible dependents and provides the financial benefits of a Health Savings Account (HSA).

    • Preventative services are covered at 100% on both plans.
    • Prescription Drug coverage including mail order pharmacy are also included.

    Vacation

    Eligible for 3 weeks of vacation: After successful completion of probationary period (usually
    6 months), employees may take time off for rest, relaxation, vacation, illness, religious observances, and personal business.

    Holidays

    Available on the first day of employment, the city provides employees with paid holidays, including two personal holidays.

    Wellness Program

    The city’s Healthy Challenge Wellness Program rewards all full-time, benefit-eligible employees on the city’s health insurance. The Healthy Challenge Program utilizes a points system. Participants may earn points throughout the year (Jan. 1-Dec. 15) for completing specific program activities and participants can redeem points at the end of the year for a cash reward. By participating, individuals can earn $150, $200 or $250 by accumulating program points.
