Description: The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing a variety of electrical systems and components in County owned properties.
SCHEDULE: Please note this position has a 4-day work week, with occasional Fridays, evenings, and weekend shifts.
This position will require CJIS (Criminal Justice Information System) Clearance prior to employment, training upon hire, and maintained indefinitely.COMPENSATION: Hiring Range: $33.44 - $34.50 USD Hourly
Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:- Maintain, repair, and install electrical systems; Including but not limited to switch gear, generators, transformers, lighting systems, ups, motors and controls, VFD's, A/C units, fuel pumps, and building automation systems.
- Emergency response and on call. Including but not limited to: Floods, odors, lighting, HVAC, fire protection, and security. Maintaining equipment related to job duties.
- Maintain fire protection system; including control panels, smoke detectors, sprinklers, won doors, audio/visual, and door holders.
- Maintenance of building automation systems; Including programming and testing for the needs of county employees, and or the public safety.
- Install and maintain low-volt door access and controls.
- This position requires after hours on-call for emergencies such as snow removal or other situations that call for essential personnel.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Three years of work-related experience.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent degree.
- Colorado Journeyman license.
- Note an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Fire alarm install experience.
