Position Description: Responsibilities- Manage the assigned caseload in the felony division, including case evaluation, charging decisions, court coverage, trial preparation, and trying cases in the courtroom.
- Assist law enforcement with search warrants, arrest warrants, and guidance with case development.
- Represent the State of Ohio in motion practice, hearings, and jury trials.
- Partner with colleagues, court staff, victims, and community agencies to ensure justice is carried out in a fair and ethical manner.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment where learning and professional development are encouraged.

Brief Description: The Licking County Prosecutor’s Office is now accepting applications for a full-time
Assistant Prosecuting Attorney within the Felony Division, specializing in Child Sexual and Physical Assault cases. This position offers the opportunity to be part of a small, supportive office where you will work closely with experienced attorneys, law enforcement, and community partners to pursue justice fairly, ethically, and with compassion.
We are looking for applicants with a strong sense of justice, a commitment to serving victims, and a desire to grow as a professional while making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Job Prerequisites: Qualifications- Admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio.
- Jury trial experience handling felony cases, including special victim prosecution.
- Strong legal research, writing, and courtroom advocacy skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Westlaw, and Windows-based programs.
- A sense of integrity, fairness, and a desire to grow within a team-oriented office.
Compensation: Compensation & Benefits- Competitive starting salary at or above $95,000.
