The Position Fleet Service Workers service vehicles and/or light, medium, and heavy construction and maintenance equipment, perform preventive maintenance, issue vehicles to employees, and perform basic diagnostic and repair work.

This position is within the Dept. of Administration, Fleet Services Division, at the Las Vegas location. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of fleet vehicles, shop, grounds, and building; transport customers via shuttle bus; transport vehicles; fuel vehicles; minor maintenance and repair i.e. oil change, brake inspections, mount and balance tires, tire repairs, minor electrical repair, cooling system inspections, etc.; accurate data entry; complete accurate paperwork; and provide exceptional customer service. Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) Graduation from high school or equivalent education and one year of general work experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. Special Requirements A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continued employment. Pursuant to NRS 284.4066, this position has been identified as affecting public safety. Persons offered employment in this position must submit to a pre-employment screening for controlled substances. In addition, federal law required random testing for controlled substances during employment. Additional Position Criteria This position requires the ability work flexible/rotating shifts.
