Business Systems Analyst II (BSA II) who will evaluate existing business processes/systems/workflows and develop business applications to enhance delivery of departmental services. The
Business Systems Analyst II is responsible for performing studies in workflow and technology integration; researching projects requiring analysis, and solutions development; creating and managing project plans, scopes, and timelines; and interacting with all levels of technical, administrative, and professional staff. BSA IIs assume project responsibility for all the phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): business requirements gathering, analysis, design, and development.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Pre-Employment Process: Applicants must successfully pass a background check and a job-related physical exam, including a drug test, prior to employment.
Availability: Some positions require availability for night and swing shifts, weekends, and on-call, including holidays as needed. Indicate availability on application.

Minimum Requirements CANDIDATES MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS: REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Must possess t wo (2) years of experience performing IT business systems analysis or information systems analysis, including four (4) of the following areas: requirements gathering, end user acceptance testing, process mapping, workflow diagramming, documenting business rules, feasibility studies, and cost/benefit analysis and/or experience with PIMS (Property Information Management Systems), Assessment or Recorder software.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Must possess thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed coursework in information technology, computer science, business administration or a closely related field. (A list of coursework is required unless you have a bachelor's degree in a qualifying field.)
SUBSTITUTION: One (1) additional year of qualifying experience may substitute for the education requirement.

EDUCATION Qualifying degrees or coursework must be completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. Desired QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have hands-on experience solving technical issues, interacting with end users and program developers, and debugging and troubleshooting code related to the PIMS software system. The ideal candidate would also have a PMP certificate.
