    The Position

    Business Process Analysts apply an in-depth knowledge of the agency's program areas to define and implement a solution to a given problem that requires an individually tailored response for end-user requirements.

    The Division of Industrial Relations is recruiting to fill a Business Process Analyst 1 position within the Workers' Compensation Section (WCS) in Las Vegas. The incumbent will analyze business processes and workflows within the Workers' Compensation Claims and Regulatory Data System (CARDS) to support quality assurance across various units within the section. The position is responsible for providing end-user support, managing the CARDS email inbox, and coordinating training for over 60 internal staff as well as external system users. The incumbent will develop training materials, create and deliver presentations, and support the Business Process Analyst 2 in evaluating workflow efficiency, identifying process improvements, and assisting with contract oversight and management. The selected candidate must possess strong communication and analytical skills and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.

    To Qualify:

    In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
    Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, public administration, management information systems, or other disciplines related to the assignment and one year of professional experience analyzing and interpreting program laws, regulations, policies and procedures, which included experience applying recognized data processing concepts to business process planning and analyses; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. Special Requirements A valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continued employment. The Examination Application Evaluation Exam The exam will consist of an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience. The most qualified applicants will be contacted by the hiring agency for interview. In contrast, the State's lowest point (along the Colorado River) is only 470 feet above sea level. From majestic mountains to desert valleys, nature has endowed Nevada with diverse and unique ecosystems.
