Event Coordinator to join our
Communications Division. In this role, you’ll help bring the County’s vision to life by planning and executing events that inform, inspire, and engage residents, employees, and community partners. From large-scale public celebrations to internal employee events and community outreach programs, you’ll coordinate every detail, turning ideas into meaningful experiences that strengthen trust and highlight the work of County government.
The
Event Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing County events from start to finish, ensuring each event meets strategic goals, stays within budget, and reflects the professionalism and values of San Bernardino County. This position requires creativity, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Schedule: Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel locally for events as needed.
Travel: Travel throughout the County is required. A valid California Class C Driver License is required to carry out the essential job-related functions of this position. Proof of automobile liability insurance must be maintained.

Minimum RequirementsMust meet one of the options to qualify:
Option A: Education : Bachelor's degree in business/public administration, communications, marketing, public relations, hospitality management or a related field.
AND Experience : Three (3) years of experience coordinating, planning, or managing events, community outreach programs, or public relations activities.
Option B: Education : Associate's degree in business/public administration, communications, marketing, public relations, hospitality management or a related field.
AND Experience : Five (5) years of experience coordinating, planning, or managing events, community outreach programs, or public relations activities.
