DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Supervises and directs technical personnel to develop and implement Service Contracts for the Branch. Maintains a safe and healthy environment and tries to avoid any accidents or injuries that may occur within area of responsibility. Reviews safety practices, implements improvements, and monitors area for compliance. Manages the Service Contract Issues for their designated area of responsibility, while utilizing the Project Managers, support staff, and all resources. Manages and reviews the service contract data entered in WMS maintaining accuracy and quality for Wastewater Treatment Plants & Lift Stations. Reviews weekly contractor reports/invoices for accuracy. Ensures all time is entered, corrected, and approved. Assures that work orders are filled out properly, including time, material used and location of work. Reviews work orders for up-to-date statuses and neatness.
WORKING CONDITIONS The position requires stooping, bending and/ or lifting of items of up to 30 pounds with occasional periods of walking on rough surfaces.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Requires a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Landscape Architecture, Project Management or a closely related field based on the responsibilities of the position. Considerable knowledge of design or construction is required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Six years of experience in construction, construction inspection, design, landscape design, geo-technical, environmental or a closely related field are required.
Substitutions: A Master's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Landscape Architecture, Project Management or a closely related field may be substituted for two years of the above experience requirement.
Directly related professional architectural, construction or landscape design experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
