The Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services (DHSS), Office of Rural Health and Primary Care (ORHPC) is currently accepting applications for a full-time Public Health Information Associate. This position is responsible for posting and maintaining relevant rural health and primary care information on digital platforms, coordinating ORHPC events and conferences, daily activities associated with rural health federal grants, presenting/exhibiting program materials at events and conferences.

    The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.

    • Research, compile, create, disseminate, and maintain pertinent information on the Rural Health Blog, Rural Health and Primary Care web pages, and other informational publications.
    • Create social media posts and digital content relevant to rural health and primary care stakeholders.
    • Assist with collecting and compiling data for the creation of the Missouri Rural Health Biennial Report.
    • Ensure all ORHPC web pages are up to date and comply with the State of Missouri digital content policies.
    • Research and compile information on funding and training opportunities for the rural health care facilities in Missouri.
    • Coordinate the annual Rural Health Day Celebration, annual Graduate Medical Education (GME) Summit, and other events hosted by ORHPC by securing location, speakers, sponsors, vendors, and all other interested parties.
    • Exhibit ORHPC program materials at conferences and events.
    • Assist with daily activities associated Rural Health grants.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of qualifying experience.
    • Excellent organization skills, ability to multitask, ability to learn new tasks quickly, and keen attention to detail
