    Job Location: This position will be located at 471 Siemers Drive, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.

    • Investigate reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of the elderly (age 60+) and disabled (ages 18+).
    • Conduct home visits to observe surroundings, and interview victims and caregivers.
    • Coordinate interventions and ongoing protective services needs.
    • Be available to be in an on call rotation with other members of your team.
    • Travel within local multi-county area to conduct home visits, attend hearings and training sessions, utilizing your personal vehicle when necessary. Minimal overnight travel required.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High level communication and interviewing skills.
    • Able to work independently and show initiative within a team environment.
    • Able to be resilient, with critical and innovative thinking skills
    • Bachelor's degree (relevant experience such as LPN, RN, or social service supports, etc. experience may be substituted for each year of required education).
    • For the APS Specialist II position, one or more years of experience in Adult Protective Services or other related human services field.
