    Under the direction of the Director of Health, Housing & Homelessness, the Deputy Director of Housing Initiatives and Community Development provides strategic leadership for the City’s federal housing and community development grants. The City of Albuquerque is seeking a forward-thinking, emotionally intelligent candidate to serve as the next Deputy Director of Housing Initiatives & Community Development. The ideal candidate is a proven leader and mentor with excellent communication skills. Qualified candidates possess a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Public Administration, Social Services, Economics, Urban Planning, or a related field preferred; along with Six (6) years of experience in housing, community development, or social services positions, with at least four (4) years in a supervisory capacity working with HUD programs preferred. The annual salary for the Deputy Director of Housing Initiatives & Community Development is $132,870 - $144,892; salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.
