    The LA County Department of Human Resources (DHR) has authorized Hiring as an Emergency under Civil Service Rule 13.04 in response to Assembly Bill (AB) 2561 (McKinnor), which requires the County to report on high vacancy rates and recruitment efforts. This action supports a Countywide strategy to address persistent staffing shortages that threaten the delivery of essential public services. We are looking for qualified and committed individuals to help strengthen the County workforce and ensure residents continue to receive critical support.     The Internal Services Department is seeking qualified candidates to fill emergency Administrative Manager 12, ISD vacancy related to this effort to stabilize critical services and accelerate hiring in high-need areas.

    Under the emergency order, applicants who meet the requirements may be hired for an initial period of up to 90 days, with an opportunity for permanent County employment.

    During your initial work period, you will be assessed on your work performance. This assessment will be weighted 100%.

    Those who successfully pass the assessment will be considered for permanent appointment to Administrative Manager 12, ISD.


    Essential Job Functions

    Directs and coordinates the work of subordinate professional staff, including Administrative Manager 10s.

    Manages the digital equity program portfolio including, Delete The Divide and subordinate programs.

    Develops partnership agreements with other organizations including County departments, community-based organizations, and non-profits to advance participation ISD digital equity programs.

    Assists in directing the development and implementation of changes in organization, staffing, work processing, and management information systems in order to increase effectiveness and efficiency to reduce administrative costs of the department.

    Responsible for the development intern career placement opportunities.

    Administer, plan, develop, and evaluate programs and systems.

    May serve as advisor and technical expert within a specialized area of expertise.

    Assists in planning and developing management concepts, objectives, policies, projects, and systems to carry out the work of the department.

    Responsible for financial and programmatic reporting for program grants.

    Responsible for management of program financial resources.

    Requirements

    Minimum Requirements
    OPTION 1: Three years experience in managing or assisting in the management of an organization, including directing a budget, personnel, fiscal, and other administrative functions

    Or

    Option 2: Two years experience at the level of Administrative Manager 10, ISD* or higher.

    You MUST meet the above requirement(s) in order to be appointed to fill any vacancies related to this recruitment.
    Special Requirement Information
    *Experience at the level of Los Angeles County's class of Administrative Manager 10, ISD is defined as assists in the administration of a Division within the Internal Services Department by developing, implementing, and supervising various programs and activities.

    License
    A valid California Class C. Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.

    Physical Class
    Physical Class II - Light: This class includes administrative and clerical positions requiring light physical effort that may include occasional light lifting to a 10-pount limit and some bending, stooping, or squatting. Considerable ambulation may be involved.
