Job SummaryThe Nevada Gaming Control Board is hiring for a Senior Application Developer (QA) in Las Vegas, NV. A Senior Application Developer (QA) is under the supervision of the Programming Supervisor or Programming Manager and is involved in all aspects designing, developing, and supporting the Nevada Gaming Control Board’s existing systems as well as new application development. This includes analyzing business processes, requirements gathering, designing and developing creative solutions, testing, and providing ongoing support and maintenance.
The Board governs Nevada's gaming industry through strict regulation of all person, locations, practices, associations, and related Activities. The Board protects the integrity and stability of the industry through its investigative and licensing practices, the enforcement of laws and regulations, and holding gaming licensees to high standards. Through these practices, the Board is able to ensure the proper collection of taxes and fees that are an essential source of revenue for the State of Nevada.
Essential QualificationsGraduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, software engineering, or related field; 2 years’ experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer, Software Quality Engineer, or SDET with skills in defect tracking systems, requirements management, test case administration, and project management; familiarity with technologies such as Visual Studio, .Net, C#, or SQL; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
