    (This is not a state position)

    University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We’re responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.

    Position Summary

    Temporary, Staff, Full Time, Non-Exempt, Benefited position through 9/30/2026 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance).

    Salary: $3,750-$4,081.52 per month.

    Location: ERC Palm Desert

    Work Schedule

    40 hours per week. Typically, Monday-Friday from 8:00AM - 5:00PM. Some nights, and weekend work may be required.

    Typical Activities

    Under minimal supervision of the CVWBC Director, the Administrative and Marketing Coordinator will work independently to:
    • Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings.
    • Prepare and distribute internal and external correspondences, including emails, memos, and reports.
    • Maintain and update company databases and records.
    • Handle ERC and CVWBC incoming calls and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate individuals or partnerships.
    • Assist in organizing company events, meetings, and conferences, including logistical arrangements, catering, and material preparation.
    • Order and maintain office supplies, ensuring inventory is well-stocked.
    • Assist in creating and maintaining various documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
    • Provide general administrative support, including filing, scanning, and photocopying documents.
    • Ensure the ERC is well-maintained, including managing the cleanliness, maintenance, and functionality of common areas, meeting rooms, and amenities.
    • Provide basic technical support for members, such as helping with connectivity issues, printer setup, or troubleshooting common technology-related problems.
    • Coordinate with vendors for services such as cleaning, maintenance, and security to ensure a seamless experience for members.
    • Assist with managing the organization’s social media platforms in alignment with program goals and branding guidelines.
    • Create, schedule, and publish approved social media content across designated platforms.
    • Monitor social media accounts for comments and messages, escalating inquiries as appropriate.
    • Coordinate with supervisors and program staff to gather content, updates, and event information for posting.
    • Maintain a basic posting schedule to ensure content is timely and accurate.
    • Track basic engagement metrics (e.g., likes, shares, comments) and provide summary updates upon request.
    • Other program related duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications
    • Education: Associate's Degree
    • Experience:
      • Experience supporting administrative and clerical functions.
      • Managing social media platforms.
    • Other:
      • Working knowledge of major social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) and best practices for professional organizational use.
      • Ability to draft clear, concise, and professional written content.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
      • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
      • Ability to follow branding, messaging, and approval processes.
      • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
      • Sensitivity to the needs of a diverse client base.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
    • Experience in a nonprofit or community-based organization
