The Town of Prescott Valley invites you to apply for the position of Engineering Technician.

The Engineering Technician position performs paraprofessional work of moderate difficulty which includes engineering plan review, field inspections, special projects management and coordination, spread sheet calculations and analysis. Examples of Duties

IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL:

• Review engineering and construction plans for conformance to Town Standards for water and sewer utilities. Prepare written review memos detailing review comments and required changes. Update tracking log and input review status of all projects from initial submittal to final approval.
• Assist with or perform Public Records Requests which include locating electronic copies of engineering plans and reports and transmitting the documents to the Town Clerk's office.
• Perform field work and site reviews which may include assistance locating sewer laterals, installing water or sewer monitoring equipment, collecting field data.
• Assist with Construction Projects, preparing construction punch lists, pay requests and close-outs.
• Use spreadsheets for calculations and for tracking status of Sewer Capacity Assurance, Approvals of Construction, and solar power REC credits.
• Use GIS to understand and review how projects will connect to existing Town infrastructure.
• Assist engineers and operations professionals with projects as needed.

Typical Qualification

REQUIREMENTS:

• Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in construction, engineering studies or a closely related field. An equivalent combination of education with additional experience may be considered by the Town.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background.
• Previous Plan review experience, including plan and profile sheets and technical documents preferred.

COMPENSATION:

The Town's complete compensation package includes salary, benefits, and a high-performance culture. The Town package includes a health, dental, and vision insurance plan, participation in the state retirement system, optional 457 deferred compensation with a town match up to 6%, vacation, holidays, and additional comprehensive benefits.

• The expected hiring range is $26.60-$27.93.
• The full hourly range is $26.60-$37.25.
