Full-time position available with the Housing & Community Development Department, Housing Land Bank Division located at 414 East 12th Street
Salary: $5,794/month
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. With possible work outside of normal hours *Telework available One day a week, at the department director's discretion, after successful completion of a six-month probationary period.*

Responsibilities
- Create and coordinate policy regarding acquisition, transfer, and disposal of Land Bank properties.
- Facilitate the implementation of policies regarding Vacant Land Initiative and other Council-directed initiatives.
- Serve as the Assistant Land Bank Executive Director.
- Attend Land Bank and Homesteading Authority meetings with and in the absence of the Executive Director.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to market Land Bank properties to the development community.
- Serve on multi-disciplinary teams to analyze data and map trends to inform new and amended policies.
- Develop new, innovative programs for the disposition of Land Bank properties.
- Supports with the overall management of the Division, coordinates intra-Departmental and interagency collaboration, assists with communication and public outreach, and conducts special projects that seek to improve policies and procedures, internal systems, and accountability.
- Develop, design and implement Land Bank programs. Assist in the development and implementation of program policies and goals.
- Advise subordinate personnel in solving difficult assignments, reviewing objectives, methodology and results of assigned projects.
- Supervise staff involvement with community groups, the general public and other Land Bank stakeholders.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing requests of the departmental budget, interviewing prospective employees, training new employees, and in establishing divisional policies and priorities.
Qualifications
REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree and 4 years professional experience in economic or community development work, planning, building codes administration, engineering, architecture, or neighborhood development programs; or Master's degree in economics, sociology, multi-disciplinary social science or urban affairs, urban planning, public or business administration, engineering, architecture and 2 years professional experience in economic or community development work, planning, building codes administration, engineering, architecture, or neighborhood development programs; OR high school graduation and 8 years of professional experience in economic or community development work, planning, building codes administration, engineering, architecture, or neighborhood development programs.
