JOB SUMMARYThe Director of Neighborhood Enhancement provides strategic leadership and direction for the City’s Neighborhood Enhancement Department, overseeing programs that support community health, safety, and quality of life. The role develops and implements policies, evaluates departmental operations, sets long-range goals, and ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Areas of responsibility include Animal Services, Code Compliance, Environmental Health, Neighborhood Vitality, Resource Recovery, and the WIC Program. The position works closely with City leadership, community partners, and external agencies to enhance neighborhoods and maintain the natural beauty of San Marcos.
