The Job
Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for Per Diem Physical Therapists II who plan, implement, and perform individual therapy programs for the rehabilitation of inpatients and outpatients. Duties include conferring with physicians regarding treatments; providing information regarding status of patients under treatment; assisting in planning treatment programs and establishing treatment goals; assessing and observing treatment effectiveness and outcomes; modifying treatment plans as necessary; documenting initial and on-going patients' evaluations, assessments and treatments; and directing the work of Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehabilitation Aides.

Positions are in the Unclassified Service and serve at the discretion of the appointing authority. Employees may participate in the County's PST Deferred Compensation Plan and do not earn any other benefits.
ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER
Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles). Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Pre-Employment Process : Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation, physical, and verification of employment history and education.
Physical: May be required to lift or assist in lifting children over fifty (50) pounds.
BLS Certificate: Physical Therapy Assistant incumbents must possess and maintain a valid Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the America Heart Association. Verification of a valid certificate must be provided within 30 days of the hire/start date, or conditional job offer may be rescinded.
Shift Availability: Positions require working various shifts; therefore, candidates must indicate availability for all shifts to be considered. Rotating weekend and holiday coverage may be required.
Sponsorship: San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must possess ALL of the following
LICENSE: Applicants must possess and maintain a valid Physical Therapist license issued by the Department of Consumer Affairs (Physical Therapy Board of California).
CERTIFICATION: Must possess and maintain Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of experience as a Licensed Physical Therapist
Desired Qualifications
A combination of inpatient and outpatient physical therapy experience is highly desired.
