    Summary

    The City of Lancaster is seeking a driven, organized, and forward-thinking professional to serve as Organizational / Operations Project Coordinator (Project Manager) within the City Manager’s Office. This position plays an important role in advancing citywide priorities by coordinating high-impact projects, supporting operational initiatives, and helping move strategic goals into action.

    This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working across departments, and can balance organization, communication, and follow-through with excellence. The selected candidate will help ensure projects remain aligned with City priorities, timelines, and expectations while supporting collaboration between leadership, departments, and stakeholders.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Plan, organize, coordinate, and oversee organizational and operational projects as assigned by the City Manager’s Office
    • Support the implementation of citywide priorities, strategic initiatives, and cross-departmental efforts
    • Coordinate with departments and stakeholders to ensure projects remain aligned with City goals, expectations, and timelines
    • Prepare reports, presentations, briefing materials, and project updates for executive leadership and City Council
    • Monitor project timelines, budgets, deliverables, and milestones to support timely completion of assigned initiatives
    • Track progress, identify issues, and help develop solutions to keep projects moving forward effectively
    • Serve as a liaison between the City Manager’s Office and internal and external stakeholders
    • Support communication, coordination, and follow-up related to key organizational and operational initiatives
    • Assist in maintaining organized records, documentation, and status updates for assigned projects
    • Provide high-level coordination and project support while managing multiple priorities with professionalism and attention to detail
    • Perform other related duties as assigned


    Education and/or Experience

    • Minimum of five (5) years of project management experience
    • Local government experience is required
    • Must have or be actively pursuing a Master of Public Administration (MPA)
    • Master’s degree in Public Administration preferred
