Full-time position available with the Public Works Department, Clean Neighborhoods Division located at 5300 Municipal Ave.
Salary Range: $5,173-$7,759/month
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday 6:30a.m.3:00p.m.

Responsibilities
- Directs and oversees the Neighborhood Cleanup Assistance Program (NCAP), coordinating operational logistics, service scheduling, and resource allocation to support neighborhood cleanup and beautification initiatives.
- Manages the City's Neighborhood Dumpster Program, overseeing dumpster requests, scheduling deliveries and removals, and ensuring efficient service delivery to residents and community organizations.
- Coordinates neighborhood cleanup events and stationary trash removal efforts in collaboration with Neighborhood Community Improvement Districts (CIDs) to promote neighborhood cleanliness, maintain public spaces, and support community revitalization efforts.
- Oversees litter abatement contractors and their daily activities, ensuring compliance with contract specifications, service standards, and City performance expectations.
- Works collaboratively with community organizations, neighborhood associations, and business districts to identify cleanup priorities, address litter and illegal dumping concerns, and improve the overall cleanliness of public spaces.
- Monitors program performance, evaluates service outcomes, and implements improvements to enhance operational efficiency and community impact.
- Coordinates deployment of City resources, equipment, and contractor services to respond to neighborhood cleanup needs, high-visibility corridors, and community beautification initiatives.
- Ensures programs operate in alignment with City policies, environmental standards, and operational goals while maintaining strong partnerships with community stakeholders.
- Directs the Solid Waste Quality Control Division, overseeing Environmental Inspectors, supervisory personnel, and the Solid Waste Customer Service Supervisor and staff responsible for service inspections, environmental compliance monitoring, complaint investigations, and customer service operations to ensure high-quality service delivery and responsive support to residents.
- Leads and directs the Solid Waste administrative team, overseeing essential administrative and financial functions including employee timekeeping, payroll processing, accounts payable, and internal documentation processes to ensure operational efficiency, fiscal accountability, and compliance with City policies.
Qualifications
REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree and 2 years of professional experience in economic or community development work, planning, building codes administration, engineering, architecture, or neighborhood development programs; OR an accredited Master's degree in economics, sociology, multi-disciplinary social science or urban affairs, urban planning, public or business administration, engineering, or architecture; OR high school graduation and 6 years of professional experience in economic or community development work, planning, building codes administration, engineering, architecture, or neighborhood development programs.
