This role will primarily be at the Charleston County Judicial Complex, 100 Broad Street, Charleston, SC 29401
Potential areas of assignment include, but are not limited to: - Judicial Complex
- General Sessions
- Family and Probate Courts
- Law Enforcement Center, 3691 Leeds Ave., N. Charleston, SC 29405
Duties include, but are not limited to: - Escorts
- Security Patrols
- Report Writing
- Answering calls for assistance
- Manning the screening stations
- Performing Main Control Room operations
Average work week: Monday through Friday 8 am - 5 pm with ability to work extended hours depending on the needs of the agency.
This position requires successfully passing the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy's 10-day Limited Duty Training Program and obtaining firearms and taser certifications within the first year of employment.Minimum QualificationsA qualified applicant must:- be a Citizen of the United States over 21 years of age
- possess a high school diploma (state issued) or GED;
- possess a current valid SC driver’s license, or the ability to obtain a SC driver’s license
- Honorably discharged from the military (if applicable).
- Have no pending cases or criminal felony convictions (misdemeanors may require expungement).
- No THC or Marijuana use within 365 days; some drugs are automatic disqualifiers.
- No student loans in default status.
