    Job DescriptionJob Description

BOOST LLC is a vibrant management consulting powerhouse specializing in providing comprehensive back-office solutions tailored to elevate government contractors. Our team comprises seasoned professionals adept in Accounting/Finance, Contracts/Procurement, Human Resources, Recruiting & Strategic Advisory. We are driven by our unwavering commitment to steering and empowering our government contractor partners towards unparalleled success in this dynamic and competitive landscape. This key role comes with the perk of being 100% fully remote, perfectly matching BOOST's virtual HQ company culture.

We are looking for a Senior Platform Developer to join our team supporting the GovCon Enclave 2.0 platform, our CMMC-compliant cloud environment built on Azure Government. Each customer receives a dedicated, single-tenant enclave: an isolated Azure Government VNet running a full stack of identity, collaboration, virtual desktop, email, and security tooling. The automation framework that provisions and manages these enclaves is substantial, comprising 130+ Ansible playbooks orchestrated from a central bastion host across a growing fleet of customer deployments.

This is a highly technical, hands-on role working at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, security compliance, and DevOps engineering.

    What You'll Do

    • Develop, maintain, and extend the Ansible-based automation framework used to provision and manage the full enclave lifecycle across all VM roles, including identity and access management, internal collaboration services, virtual desktop infrastructure, and email
    • Operate and improve the enclave fleet on Azure Government, including VNet configuration, VM provisioning, Azure Blob-backed storage, and network security group management
    • Administer and troubleshoot the core enclave services stack spanning identity, SSO, remote access, file sharing, virtual desktop delivery, email, and FIPS-compliant reverse proxy
    • Manage SIEM deployments on Kubernetes, including agent rollouts to all enclave VMs, alert tuning, and SOC cluster health
    • Maintain CMMC compliance posture across the platform by implementing and sustaining security controls aligned with NIST SP 800-171, including FIPS 140-2 cryptographic enforcement and STIG hardening for Windows VDI
    • Perform fleet-wide health checks, on-call incident response, and break/fix support across customer enclaves
    • Author and maintain internal technical documentation for platform components, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks
    • Collaborate with the CTO and engineering team on platform roadmap and infrastructure modernization initiatives

Hard Requirements (What You Must Have)

    • 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a closely related DevOps/SRE role
    • Strong Ansible proficiency writing idempotent playbooks, managing inventory, using roles and variables at production scale
    • Hands-on experience with Azure (VNets, VMs, Blob Storage, NSGs, service principals); Azure Government experience a plus
    • Solid Linux systems administration skills across both RHEL/CentOS and Debian/Ubuntu-based distributions
    • Experience with Docker and Docker Compose for containerized service management in production environments
    • Working knowledge of Active Directory / LDAP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies
    • Practical understanding of FIPS 140-2 requirements and their application in Linux and containerized environments
    • Experience with Git-based workflows and infrastructure-as-code practices
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance or pass background checks required for work in federal contractor environments
    • Must be authorized to work and currently residing in the U.S.

    Nice-to-Haves

    • Experience with CMMC Level 2 or Level 3 compliance frameworks and/or direct implementation of NIST SP 800-171 controls
    • Production experience with a SIEM platform in a monitoring or SOC capacity
    • Experience administering containerized email stacks in a production environment
    • Kubernetes experience, particularly for self-hosted workloads
    • Experience with SSO and identity provider platforms in enterprise or government environments
    • Familiarity with browser-based remote desktop delivery and Windows VDI administration, including STIG hardening

    Compensation

    • $140,000 - $200,000 USD, commensurate with experienceCompetitive benefits package
    • Flexible work environment
    • Clear growth path as the company scales
