Key Responsibilities:

Demonstrated ability to establish new clients, prepare proposals, lead/perform projects, and manage a group of professionals.
Coordinate team efforts with other Principals and Staff Engineers.
Performing hydraulic analyses for fire protection systems
Designing fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems
Coordinating water supply testing and evaluating water supply adequacy
Applying Life Safety Code, International Building Code, and related standards to projects
Preparing drawings and models using AutoCAD and/or Revit
Managing and multitasking across multiple small and large projects
Conducting construction inspections and field surveys of existing facilities
Providing design review services and coordinating fire/life safety requirements with other disciplines
Preparing clear, technically sound reports and documentation
Communicating with clients, contractors, and design team members
Dust Hazard Analysis
Fire Modeling
Smoke Control System Design/Commissioning
Prior project management and client coordination experience preferred

  • Positive, "can-do" attitude and strong drive to succeed
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to travel to various project locations
  • Ability to gain access to military bases (must meet applicable security requirements)
  • Ability to climb ladders, navigate job sites, and perform construction inspections in varying climates and conditions
  • Self-motivated and committed to supporting both the company's mission and your own professional development
