CIWS Weapon Systems TechnicianEngineering and Technical Support – Full time – Minimum Clearance Required: Secret – Employee Type: Regular – Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 50% (Continental US).The OpportunityPerform Close-In Weapon System (CIWS) maintenance groums and assessments onboard US Navy (USN) and US Coast Guard (USCG) vessels.Assist with the testing of system capabilities including integration with multiple combat systems both pierside and atsea.Perform CIWS System Operational Verification Testing (SOVT).Provide technical, mechanical, operational, and tactical training to USN and USCG personnel.Interface with Regional Maintenance Centers (RMCs), Combat System Port Engineers (CSPEs), and land-based test sites.Provide installation support for Counter Unmanned Aircraft System (C-UAS).Provide technical reports and recommendations to Government stakeholders.QualificationsU.S. CitizenshipActive Secret Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one).Minimum 6 years of hands‑on experience operating and maintaining any of the Close‑In Weapon System (CIWS) variants (Phalanx, SeaRAM, and LPWS).Knowledge of the mechanical, electro‑mechanical, pneumatic, electronic and electrical systems associated with any of the three CIWS variants.Ability to perform installation, removal, light off and check out, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CIWS under the guidance of senior technicians.Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and structural drawings and schematics.One or more NECs (Navy Enlisted Qualifications) related to CIWS Phalanx and/or SeaRAM would be a positive.Knowledge of DOD requirements, standards, and processes.Strong communication skills.Basic knowledge of Microsoft office products.Physical RequirementsModerate lifting, 15-44 poundsModerate carrying, 15-44 poundsReaching above shouldersUse of fingersDexterity of both hands requiredWalking (0.5 hours)Standing (2.0 hours)Kneeling (0.5 hours)Repeated bending (0.5 hours)Climbing, use of legs and armsAbility to distinguish basic colorsHearing (aid may be permitted)Pay Range$68,400-$143,700Equal Opportunity EmployerCACI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
