The Loss Prevention Agent will monitor store premises and high-risk areas to prevent theft, fraud, and safety incidents, using both physical patrols and camera surveillance. Responsibilities include observing customer and staff activity, identifying suspicious behavior, and responding appropriately while maintaining a calm and professional presence. The role involves documenting incidents, completing detailed reports, and preserving evidence as needed. The Loss Prevention Agent will work closely with store management and, when required, law enforcement to address security issues, conduct investigations, and support compliance with company policies and local regulations. The position may require standing or walking for extended periods, working variable shifts (including evenings, weekends, and holidays), and assisting with emergency response procedures.QualificationsExperience or training in loss prevention, security, or a related protective services field, with the ability to monitor environments, identify risks, and follow established protocols.Strong observation, situational awareness, and incident-reporting skills, including the ability to document events clearly and accurately in written reports.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, team members, and external partners, including responding to conflict in a calm, respectful manner.Ability to remain composed under pressure, make sound decisions in real time, and elevate issues appropriately based on company policies and safety considerations.Physical ability to stand, walk, and conduct patrols for extended periods, and to respond quickly to incidents within the facility.Familiarity with basic security systems and tools (e.g., CCTV, access control, incident logging software) or willingness to learn these systems.High school diploma or equivalent required; additional security certifications, guard cards, or loss prevention training in California are preferred.Demonstrated reliability, integrity, and adherence to confidentiality and ethical standards in handling sensitive information and situations.#J-18808-Ljbffr
