The K-9 Officer will provide a safe and secure environment for all persons on premises by working closely with their assigned shift, conducting K-9 patrols, responding to calls and documenting incidents. Performs all functions of a patrol Security officer. Investigates and makes recommendations for safety enhancements for the hospital campus and staff. Maintains health and welfare of K-9 dog, on a 24 x 7 basis. This position will require flexibility of hours.EDUCATION:High school diploma or GED.EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:Minimum 2 years experience in security, law enforcement or military required.Experience in hospital security and/or K-9 operations are preferred. Basic K-9 Handler Agitator Course preferred.LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:Required:Current California (CA) driver's license.
